What Are HTTP Request Headers?
Every HTTP request your browser sends includes a set of headers— key-value pairs that provide metadata about the request. They tell the server what content types you accept, what language you prefer, whether the connection can be kept alive, and which browser you're using. When you use a proxy, the proxy may add additional headers that reveal the proxy's presence.
Proxy Headers That Reveal Anonymity Leaks
Contains the original client IP. If set to your real IP by the proxy, the server sees it.
Identifies intermediate proxy servers that forwarded the request.
RFC 7239 standard header — carries original client IP, host, and protocol info.
Often added by reverse proxies (nginx) to pass the client's real IP to the backend.
Non-standard header that signals proxy usage. Elite proxies strip this.
